We have qualified and experienced teachers, assistant teachers and nursery assistants to help deliver the best of care for your child.
Qualification Requirements
Teachers – All Oakfield Teachers/ Key Persons have a Cache 3 or equivalent qualification in Child Care. A graduate degree alone is not sufficient.
Assistant Teachers – All Oakfield Assistant Teachers have a Cache 2 or equivalent qualification in Child Care. A graduate degree alone is not sufficient.
Nursery Assistants – All nursery assistants must undergo the inhouse training that is conducted at Oakfield.
Fully Qualified DHA Registered Nurse – We have a wonderful nurse who supports all children’s health and wellbeing.
Continuous Development
As you may be aware, the government of Dubai imposes certain mandatory training on staff members in Child Care institutions. These include annual skills development/ enhancement for medical practitioners (in Oakfield we have 4 full time nurses on our staff) and Fire Fighting Training.
In addition to this, Oakfield is committed to the continuous professional development of its staff. The various development tools used are:
- Child Care Qualification – Oakfield Staff are encouraged to further their qualifications through an Employer-Staff fee-sharing programme for the relevant course. In the last 3 years alone, as many as 15 members of staff have been supported by Oakfield to obtain a formal qualification using the Cache scheme.
- Mentoring Programme led by our Cache Level 5 qualified Staff
- First Aid Training for all Staff
- Food Handling and Hygiene Training for Housekeeping Staff
- COVID19 Management for Educational Institutions for all Health and Safety Officers
