Meet The Centre Director

Hello, my name is Lynn Nolan, the Center Director of Oakfield. Originally from the United Kingdom, I qualified in Level 5 CACHE Early Years Leadership for Children’s Services, in addition a CACHE Level 3 for SEND Coordinators, Level 1 Makaton training, a UK Montessori Diploma, and YHCFE from Leeds in Yorkshire, UK.

My career as an educator has spanned over 25 years, as a special needs teacher, FS2 teacher, Nursery Principal and Educational Consultant. It has been such a wonderful and rewarding journey where along the way, I had the privilege to work with many inspiring educators in many different schools and nursery settings, being part of the learning journey of scores of children aged from 6 months to 15 years.

It has always been my mission to ensure that whichever Nursery or Early Learning Centre I lead upholds the best possible quality and practices, offering a rich provision which nurtures, enables and supports children’s care and well-being: one where parent partnerships matter and practitioners work in synergy to ensure the best possible outcome for every child.

Whether through creating beautiful and enabling learning environments, developing strong, dedicated teams, or actual hands-on teaching, my approach has always been to lead through example and be the best possible role model for my team.

                                                        MY EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

To summarize, my educational philosophy is quite simple: keep the best interests of the children at the heart of every decision and remember to look at the world through the eyes of a child, ensuring to keep the magic of childhood alive for the few precious years of childhood.
